Each morning you get one email with the notices posted on SAM.gov since the last one that match your codes and places of performance. Every code in it opens with twelve months of its federal award history, so you can see whether the agency that just posted a notice actually buys this work, and at what size, before you read the solicitation.

• The title, linked to the notice on SAM.gov
• The notice type (solicitation, combined synopsis/solicitation, presolicitation or sources sought) and its set-aside
• The buying agency and office
• The place of performance, or the buying office's location when no place is given
• The date it was posted and the response deadline, with its time zone as SAM.gov gives it
• The solicitation number

Questions before you subscribe

SAM.gov already emails saved searches. Why pay for this?

SAM.gov's saved-search alerts are free and worth setting up. They tell you a notice exists. The digest adds the part that is not in the notice: how much the government has been spending under that code, which offices spent it and which companies received it, in the same email.

Will I get the same solicitation twice?

No. Amendments and reposts share a solicitation number, and once you have been sent a solicitation its later versions are not sent again. The one exception is useful: if you received a sources sought or presolicitation notice, you get the same solicitation once more when it opens for bids, marked "now open for bids".

What if nothing matches on a given day?

No email that day. Your first digest covers the notices posted in the seven days before you subscribed.

Which notices are included?

Solicitations, combined synopsis/solicitations, presolicitations and sources sought notices whose response deadline has not passed. Award notices, justifications and special notices are left out.

Is this connected to SAM.gov or the government?

No. Bids by NAICS is an independent publication built on public data from SAM.gov and USAspending.gov. It does not register businesses in SAM and does not help with bids or proposals. Always read the full notice and its amendments on SAM.gov before responding.
